Construction of Water Distribution, Sanitary Sewer, Storm Sewer and 8″ Water Line Crossing Moonlight Mist Drive Connection Serving Sunset Ridge East Reserve Sec. 1. This project involved five separate task groups:
Site Preparation: stripping and site preparation for all areas to receive fill where organics and deleterious materials are present to a minimum depth of 4-inch below natural ground prior to the excavation, placement and grading of any fill material (all stripping are to be evenly placed and graded on the filled and graded areas, de-muck and fill existing ditch.
Water Distribution: 1,085 LF of 8″ PVC (C-900) DR 18 water lines, w/D.I. fittings, thrust blocking, 50 LF of 8″ PVC AWWA (C-900) DR 14, 200 PSI water lines, w/integral restrained joints, fittings and thrust blocking, 180 LF of 14″ steel casing pipe bore and jack, all with required bank sand bedding and backfill. Also, 120 LF of 14″ steel casing (wall the. = 0.15″ min.) for 8″ water line, to include nylon skids for carrier pipe and sealing ends as per detail in plans and as per Harris County specs, trench safety system, and various valves and fittings.
Sanitary Sewer: 1,482 of 8″ PVC SDR26 sanitary sewer (all depths), compaction testing, cement stabilized sand bedding and backfill, 40 LF of 8″ PVC C-900 sanitary sewer (all depths) centered at water line crossing, installation of manholes and sewer plugs, and 1,522 LF of trench safety. Also 250 LF addition of special bedding for wet sand conditions, and 250 LF of well pointing including sanitary sewer manholes.
Storm Water Collection System: 170 LF of 24″ RCP (C-76) Class III, (all depths), inlet lead, rubber gasket joints, 810 LF of 24″ RCP (C-76) Class III, rubber gasket joints (all depths), 230 LF of 36″ RCP (C-76) Class III, rubber gasket joints (all depths), 125 LF of 4′ x 3′ RCP (C-76) Class III box culvert, rubber gasket joints (all depths), 290 LF of 5′ x 3′ RCP (C-76) Class III box culvert, rubber gasket joints (all depths), 110 LF of 6′ x 3′ RCP (C-76) Class III box culvert, rubber gasket joints (all depths), all with compaction testing, cement stabilized sand bedding and backfill. Also manholes, inlets, brick plugs, 3,800 LF of drainage swales, 60 LF of 24″ tunnel under road, 190 SY of concrete rip rap, placement of 5,000 CY of excavated material onsite, spreading of 3,500 CY of excess spoil material, and 1735 LF of trench safety system.
Erosion & Sedimentation Control: 1000 SY of grass sod, turf establishment, installation and maintenance of construction exits, hydromulch seeding and fertilizer, Broadcast seeding and fertilizer, installation and removal of 7,000 LF of filter fabric fencing and reinforced filter fabric fencing, siltation basin.
